The Importance of Spiritual Baths
Spiritual baths are important, even if you’re not doing your own spiritual work or work for others. On the sole purpose of energy, you can pick up someone’s energy by going to work or by going to a store, and really anywhere so coming home and cleansing yourself especially before getting into your bed is crucial. Learning the spiritual benefits of herbs is going to help you know what bath or baths to make. You don’t need every herb for the intention but keeping a few on hand will save you time and money.
In Ancient times, spiritual baths were seen as sacred and a ritualist act to cleanse ones energy. Often times, a variety of oils and herbs are added to cold water and when fresh herbs were used they would speak their intentions over the herbs as they ripped them apart. When dried herbs are used, this was usually boiled over a fire and the intentions were spoken while the herbs boiled. A bath house or a Mikveh is commonly used where your full body is submerged in water that often includes salt.
Today, you will see spiritual baths in many cultures. They may look dark in color when using fresh herbs or they may be accompanied by bath salts or powdered milk with dried herbs. Flowers are also added in modern spiritual baths.
